Tulu wants to go and touch some stars, so Nol drags Nara along for a quick training journey.

A quick little game featuring about what happens when a two overpowered players decide to play a hunting game with a normal citizen in tow.

Features:

  • Three very different fighting styles (and many more playstyles depending on how you use each character):
    • Nol and Voyd share most stats and abilities with some minor differences. Nol's Gift and Stockpiles allow you to either craft items and immediately use them or stock up on items that can be used by the party. Voyd's tentacles allow you to do void damage to both the Void (Yomi) side of the world and the normal side.
      • Each one has a different ultimate. Nol's ultimate unlocks fairly easily once you've figured it out. Voyd's ultimate is designed to be very easy to activate.
      • Outside of battle, you can switch between the two with an item.
      • Voyd cannot use Gift, but can Stockpile when not in the void side.
      • Most attack items can be chain crafted, allowing you to make multiples of the items easily.
      • Some potions may have special uses, such as buffing damage for certain categories of skills.
    • Tulu is simply powerful.
      • It is difficult to predict when her abilities might stop being available as she uses a hidden resource, but  her skills are often powerful.
      • She can even copy and improve some enemy skills. Hints exist for what enemies may give you a new skill. (In rare circumstances, there may be multiple enemies that give the same skill).
      • As she is controlling what is effectively a doll, she is also effectively immortal and will automatically revive a few turns after she faints.
      • Her ultimate is extremely powerful, but has a very unique method to unlock. Her ultimate is almost a guaranteed kill. Just be warned that her ultimate doesn't really discriminate.
    • Nara is weak, but she has flexibility and her attacks/skills do not have costs.
      • She will have difficulties with damage most enemies, but there are ways to buff her damage in ways that other characters don't have access to.  With the right combination of buffs/debuffs, she can do reasonable damage.
      • She can change weapons in battle and even attack modes.
      • She has two different ultimates depending on what weapons you have equipped. Her ultimates can be used very often once you learn how to unlock it... if you can keep her alive.
  • In two areas, you may encounter special enemies with special rules! Will you take your time to fight them safely or will you rush to beat them? These enemies become somewhat more dangerous on higher difficulties.
  • Each character has a unique ultimate skill. This ultimate skill guarantees victory against all but the strongest of enemies. Using the ultimate may reveal a hint on how to unlock them!
  • Each ultimate has a custom song that plays when using the ultimate! Each ultimate also has a 'pause' point where you can pause the ultimate to listen to the songs!
  • Gather resources to sell! Some resources regenerate over time while others might require you to spend energy.
  • Several secrets exist to be discovered, each with a cutscene.
  • 3 endings! Depending on how far you've progressed, you can unlock up to two additional endings.
    • There are 2 variations of the normal endings, but they are mostly the same with only a few lines of difference, so we are counting them as a single ending.
    • The first secret ending is unlocked through beating an extremely difficult and somewhat hidden, optional, post-game boss.
    • The second secret ending requires you to meet the requirements for the first secret ending and collect enough of a certain item.
  • A certain 'shop' disappears to restock and returns in the post-game with new options.
  • Secret lister! Upon beating the game, you gain an item that tells you which normal ending you will get as well as lists the secrets you are missing. (Only secrets that give you unique skills/items are listed).
  • You will automatically revive after battle and you gain full experience even if you faint in battle.
  • 4 total difficulties. The alternative difficulties change the actions that enemies will take as well as adds other effects.
    • Note: We do not recommend playing on the hard and impossible difficulties. These other difficulties may greatly change your experience and provide no achievements or secrets. In fact, easy and impossible difficulties make it harder to obtain certain secrets.
    • The Easy/Moonlit Teatime difficulty makes things much easier and faster with bonuses to help speed up your journey.
    • There is little difference between normal and hard difficulty, but that little difference can make a surprisingly large impact.
    • Impossible difficulty is effectively impossible to fully complete unless you spam ultimates.

Notes:

As mentioned in the early text, Nara is expected to faint a lot - this is normal. Think of her sort of like a normal citizen surrounded by superheroes. To make up for this, Nara has access to the best weapons and armor in the game and has many ways to improve her firepower, including having access to one of the most frequently activatable ult. Just be warned that all her combat capability revolves around her gear, so if you remove her gear, she will become much weaker.

Experimental Branch contains the latest changes, but the version number is simply the next version (the itch app will still keep the game up to date). Will be pushed to Stable/Main branch once Experimental Branch has been updated and fully tested.

Saves from old versions should be largely compatible with newer versions, but it is recommended to start a new save anyways to avoid possible bugs. There will be a version updater in the cottage that should reduce the bugs of using an older save.

Made in RPGMaker MZ without plugins. This was a test to see how far I could push the engine without any significant modifications (I did use some script calls).

This game looks amateurishly put together, starting from the nonexistent intro cutscene to the poor written tutorials, and let's not talk about the terrible writing, everything feels like it was wrote by a 13y old sadistic male edgelord who just started highschool.

The mapping is really bad too, I suggest you follow some tutorials before posting anything, there are plenty available. 1\5
